Capcom released a groundbreaking horror title on the PS2 way back in 2005 entitled Haunting Ground. This game is highly recognized due to the unique interaction taking place between the lead character and her dog. Despite the interesting ideas that came out of the game, Capcom did not hurry up their plans of releasing a sequel.
However, things are about to change soon as Corporate Officer and Vice-President of Strategic Planning & Business Development for Capcom details how fans might have to bury their hopes of getting the game at all. He says:
“As far as what happened to it, for whatever reason (likely sales) producers in Japan haven't been inclined to keep the series going. So for now, the franchise rests.”
