The DLC maps have been previously confirmed to arrive in Aliens vs Predator, but fans were quite curious to know as to exactly when this will arrive. Well, you shouldn't have to wait any further as you can now get an idea of how long of a wait you'd have to do. Turns out, it won't be that long since Tim Jones, head of art and design for Rebellion Games, indicate in an interview that it will be made available “soon after release” of the game.
In the same interview, he reveals:
"Downloadable Content on day on for those who purchase the Special Editions will consist of four brand new multiplayer games: two new Survivor maps and two for the other multiplayer modes.” He further reveal that they have plans on delivering Special Editions, to give something back to their loyal fans.
"The Special Editions provide that something special. And I think the pre-order numbers we're seeing demonstrate just how eager people are to get their hands on this game,” he adds.
Do watch out for Aliens vs Predator to arrive next week, February 19, on the PS3, as well as other platforms like the Xbox 360 and PC.
